Intel will soon be hosting a Tekken 8 Esports Tournament in collaboration with NorQuest College at Game Con Canada 2024 on June 15, 2024.
Leading up to Game Con Canada 2024, Intel will be hosting a Tekken 8 Esports Tournament in partnership with NorQuest College on Saturday, June 15, with the finals on Sunday. The finals will take place on the 100-foot wide, 34-foot tall LED Memory Express Mega Stage. As players participate in the tournament, they can win gaming peripherals worth $1,150.00 and a prize pool of up to $500 for players ranking 2nd to 4th.
To participate in the Intel Tekken 8 Esports Tournament, players can register online starting now until June 13, at 6:00 PM and must purchase a GCC ticket to register. On the day of the tournament, players must check-in at the NorQuest Esports registration table at the Intel Booth from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, as the tournament starts in the afternoon and so forth.
While players participate in the Intel Tekken 8 Tournament, they will play using state-of-the-art Intel PCs but must bring their own controllers and accessories. For tournament details:
- Double Elimination.
- Default Tournament Mode Settings.
- 3/5 Rounds Per Game.
- 2/3 Games Per Set.
- 3/5 Matches for Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals.
- Random stage select for Game 1.
- Previous match winner must keep the same character.
- Previous game loser can switch stages but with the same character or change characters but with a random stage.
- No color, name, or item adjustments at any time before or during the match. Any player violating the rules will be given a loss.
- Saturday bracket winners will be given a free Sunday Pass to compete on the Memory Express Mega Stage for the final match!
As players climb the ranks to show they are the best, the top 4 players in the Tekken 8 Esports Tournament will be awarded for their dedication and skill. Some prizes players can win include:
- 1st Place – Intel Core i7 4700k + Sparkle Intel Arc A750 Titan OC Edition. Value $1,150.00.
